Lead M&E Engineer
(Selangor)

Responsibilities:

* Receives allocated duties and reviews enquiry documentation from client together with Scope of Work to understand what is required.
* Raises queries where there is lack of clarity. Creates drawings and document register to ensure all deliverables are accountable and completed on time.
* Prepares system design philosophy and specifications.
* Perform detailed design of systems, Heat load calculation, equipment sizing, duct sizing, fan & pump head calculation, duct and pipe sizing.
* Coordinates with the Drafting Office Coordinator for the checking and issuing of detailed drawings and shop drawings.
* Prepares the Purchase Requisition for equipment and specify inspection/ test and vendor data requirements.
* Undertakes technical evaluations of vendor offers for the more complex items to ensure PR's technical details are satisfied.
* Prepares material take-offs for Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects.
* Reviewing and monitoring of subcontracted design and interface with other discipline.
* Prepare and update data sheets, specifications and drawings for basis of quotation of qualified vendors.
* Prepare Material Requisition for Quotation (RFQ) on related M&E packages
* Prepare Technical Bid Clarifications for vendors base on vendor technical bid offer and to check the compliance on specification and completeness of scope of supply.
* Prepare Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) for comparison of vendor offer and recommend the best suitable vendor.
* Arrange and prepare minute Bid Clarification Meeting with the selected vendor prior issue of final recommendation of TBE.
* Arrange and list all vendor documents to be submitted by vendor as per related construction schedule of the project.
* Check, comment and expedite Vendor Data Requirement List (VDRL) as per VDS schedule. HVAC VDRL consists of Schedule, Drawings, Calculations, Performance data, QA/ Certification and Manuals.
* Arrange and initiate Engineering documents of vendor such as general arrangement drawings, electrical drawings, HVAC control drawings and other documents.

Requirements:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineer or HVAC Engineering with more than 10 years of experience in power plant, onshore gas plant, industrial plant and commercial/ office building.
* The applicant should have extensive experience in Mechanical engineering design and ability to provide technical consultations on issues related to HVAC, Potable & Towns Water System, Plumbing, Fire Fighting System, Fire Seals, Odour System, Fugitive System, CCTV, Lifts, Intrusion Protection System, Building Management System, Small Power and Lighting, Gas Systems, Overhead Cranes and Hoists.
* The applicant will perform detail design of such systems, troubleshooting problems related to such systems and monitoring progress of work.
